Does anyone know why an eddy is called an eddy? This question keeps popping up on our shuttles and google does not seem to know the answer.

May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds.-Ed Abbey
