Does no one want to go to Mexico this Christmas break!

I am exhausting every lead I have to go to Northern Mexico to go paddling and everything is turning up dry! I know I am not that good lookin, but come on people! Anyone! Don't let the only middle eastern paddler you have heard off head north to B.C/Seattle to freeze his tanned arse off just so he can find some whitewater!

What I am good for:
1) Entertainment: Everyone makes fun of me ...heck even the Scottish love me cause people stop making fun of them and make fun of me!
2) Good Cook: I can cook baby. Parents are restaurateurs.
3) Haggling skills: Hey, I grew up in India. Even buying fruit is a haggling event!
4) Oh, and I have some okay boating skills.

I get off of work tomorrow evening for 16 days.

-Assad (also go by the gringo name of "AJ" if need be )

Man, if you gotta do that, I would keep it on the DL, some parents don't like that.

From what I saw last year you could just go down there and hook up with a american paddle crew without much problems.

I heard Count was going down, might try him.

Nope, he is not. We tried for a few months and plans were just not working out. We are both sticking pretty local for the winter.

It is worth the drive if you head down there, it is a blast!

I had planned to go boating in Sonora but all the beta I could scrounge said there was no water. I decided to take the family and do some fishing and sea kayaking in San Carlos instead. You are welcome to meet up with us there. ~75 degree weather, Mmmmmm.....

Mmm, yeah. I had 12 people agree to go. And every single one of them bailed out. There are a lot of flakey kayakers out there. Lame.

Just a head's up Seattle and everything around got a foot of snow today and everything is locked up solid. Robe is low, Sky is Low, Cispus is in but I'd imagine FREEZING and access may be an issue.

Other option is Hood River area but they also go slammed with snow from what friends are saying.

May want to ask on the professorpaddle.com forum before heading out, sure there's people on there that know more about what's in then I do but it's safe to say where ever you go around here it's going to be very cold and water levels low.

More snow expected later this week and after x-mas.

You may be better of going to Mexico solo then heading all the way out here.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the heads up. My brother just told me the weather sucks ass there. Professor paddle is showing a few things running still. there is also oregon and the clackamus .....but then again i have never been there in
winter to know how much snow/ice there is at the take out/put in.

I don't want to head to mexico solo since I don't know rafa personally or anyone else down there.
oh well ...still crossing fingers that someone is going to show up wanting to go south.
