Despite father's accidental death, local teen paddles on in

The silver medal finalist in the National Freestyle Kayak Championships also comes from a unique background: Both parents encouraged his love for kayaking at a young age, and Mohn ran his first river when he was about nine years old.
It would be roughly four years later that he would lose his father to the very sport Mohn has chosen to devote his own life to.
