Demo days?

Well, I broke my H:3 yesterday and it's time for a new boat. Anyway, I'm a cheap bastard, does anyone know of any other free demo days other then Golden River sports on tuesday? Specifically I'm looking for more of a creeker this time I think. The Jefe, Nomad, Burn and Ammo are on my list. I've been in a few Hero and Rocker and haven't really cared for them. Any other suggestions?

Matt, I've got a CFS you can try for free and buy for cheap if you're interested. It's a little older than those listed but guys were running the shit in them just a couple years ago.

Thanks Derk but I've seen those things and I remember thinking they are more closely related to an egg then a kayak. Lookin for something with a bit more edge I think.

if you are looking for something with a bit more edge but you want one more creeking style? ahhh jefe is displacement, cfs is displacement, nomad is displacement. they do not have a edge on the bottom of hulls meaning they all look like eggs. the ammo would be the planning hull creeker if that is what you are looking for but not a true creeker.

Maybe I'm off but I don't remember there being anything on the CFS, no edge, no chimes just a smooth round egg. Maybe I need to be egdecated, but all of the above at least have chimes right?

displacement hulls do not have a defined chine like playboats or other river runners because they displace the hits off bigger drops unlike the planning hull that takes the hit flat.

I understand the point of the displacement vs. planning hulls. I have also heard that the displacement hulls don't catch on rocks as easily as planning hulls because they are smooth. However, I haven't experienced (or realized) this on any of my planning hulled boats before, but I haven't been running super low flow boney creeks either. Bottom line I remember seeing CFS's before and thinking it wasn't something I wanted. Part of it may be I'm more interested in something a bit more current. I'm sure I'll have a learning process discovering what I like and don't like in creek boats. As everyone always says, demo demo demo. Hence I'm trying to find places I can do that without paying...

I've heard good things about the magnums as well, I just don't think I know anywhere I can get a demo from.
