Dalores River info

Anyone know where I can get info for projected water levels for the upper Dalores? What does it usualy run at in mid April? Thanks

The upper Dolores flow is not found at the damn website. You need to go to USGS Water Data for the Nation and look up station number 09166500 which is located in the town up Dolores with is upstream of McFee Damn. It is a sweet spring run...not much in the way of big rapids, but is quite a ride due the steep gradient and the big eddies created by the many turns found there. Good chance of finding riverwide trees and other debris. Current flow is 166.

yeah, the Upper D runs pretty much every year because its above the damn.

i think people are looking for flow schedules on the runs BELOW the damn, which are tough to find because the damn operators are less than friendly.....

check on that ygc... the original question was about the upper reach so providing that link seemed prudent. Considering the way the river name was fat-fingered by the askee, who really knows what he was looking for.
