try a liquid logic remix, jackson hero, dagger mamba or something like that... more of a innovative design... and surfable.. remixes are sweet.

I'm 6'4", and was not able to fit in a dagger RPM Max when I tried 10 years ago. There are much, much, much more comfortable boats out there for a tall guy. Look for a SuperEZ or Jackson SuperFun...something with updated outfitting, and a boat you can grow into. If you get an RPM (or any of those old designs), you'll be wanting a newer boat design about a month later.

There might be newer designs but the RPM max is a great boat. I still use mine and loved it on The Grand. If it is such an outdated design then why is the Remix so similar to it in design? The fact is it is a great boat and very forgiving. Not to mention it is still the most comfortable boat I have paddled. Go get one you won't be dissapointed.

Glad you like your rpm but it was designed as a "cutting edge" playboat in its day. Its tail happy, not comfy at all and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone that I liked.

Good call gh, as somebody who learned in a rpm, also learned to stern squirt in the rpm... i suggest newer more comfortable designs like the liquid logic remix, daggger mamba, jackson hero, wave sport deisel if your main purpose is river running... if you want a little surf action as well the jackson fun series, liquid logic crossriver, or dagger juice kinda boats would be great boats. the juice was actually the first boat i ever linked ends in flat water cartwheels.

as i kayaknboard said. if you get a rpm you'll be wanting a newer boat in less than a month.
