i just called the forest service in gunnison, they dont have a clue. so im going to put a call in to the county boys and see if they have any idea. my guess would be yes, if there are drifts they dont mind blowing it but its not a 100% guarantee

FR209, 306 Northbound/Southbound Cottonwood Pass (Milemarker 0-20)
Maintained by Gunnison and Chaffee counties. Paved side can be plowed, gravel side requires a lot of snow melt before reopen. (970)641-0044 for info. Seasonal closure began January 8th, 2009 at 9:38am.

Not open...

I was up there early this week and they have not even started workin on the bv side. I took off on a sled about a mile above the ptarmigan road..

The bv side opens their side to the top every year first.. They will have a bit of work to do as the last switchback on the pass (bv side) still is 15 - 20' deep..

Maybe by memorial day but that is only if they start workin on it and I have seen no equipment headed up that way.....
