Corsica

Just putting this out there to see who has been there and knows what is up? A group of us are headed there for the next two weeks and have done a lot of research but we are wondering if anyone on here knows the locals to get to know, if we can do it without carting our boats halfway across the globe, etc... Any info anyone has would be super appreciated

thanks,

Paul

I was there in the summer and hiked some dry river bed and it looked steep and continuous. I didn't see any kayak shops around or any kayaks at all. Have fun

The kayak session DVD is free on their website and it is great. It shows 17 quality whitewater sections, lots of IV, V Creeking and a few III runs. Put-ins, takeouts, portages, dangers, levels and everything else you need.

Thanks for the replies guys, definitely have been glued to the KS video guide for some time now, and sorry CM but Baker and Laham are part of the crew. I appreciate the feedback though, and it does indeed look like granite paradise in the Med. Thanks again.

this is the time of year you want to do Corsica, probably peaking right now. Their season starts in min-March and runs through mid-April

My brother was there last year for the festival and was one of only a few Americans but had a great time. PM me if you are interested and I will give you his phone number if you want to give him a call.

Very nice Philippe. Makes me want to make it next year all the more. Will you be in Colorado this season?
