CO Boating the next few weeks

Hi All,

My wife and I scored permits for the Green launching May 12th, and are in Denver now.... So the question is, where to boat between now and then? We have traveled in from CA and are hoping to meet some folks to show us CO's finest whitewater. Up to IV+ for me and easy IV for her.

Let me know,

Thanks,

Jeff

While I live here and I'm partial, come check out the Arkansas. 100 consecutive boatable Class II to Class IV+ miles from Granite to Canon City. BV and moreso Salida offer plenty of other recreation and nightlife activities as well.

Seems like you could go anywhere tho, as just about everything is running. This cold snap will slow it down a little for a couple days, but we appear to have a decent early runoff going almost statewide. Even the upper rio grande was running fast and murky last week.

I'd be happy to show you sections of the Ark over the next few days. The weather doesn't look the best but the flows are great for this time of the year.

Jeff, sounds good. I'm in Salida so everything is close by. Where in Cali are you based? I work for oars and will be guiding on the t this summer. Unfortunately, i don't think anything else will be running out there, but I would like to know some boaters for any dam releases. Give a call. 97zero2zero9769nine.

I'd love to make it too if I'm in town. Everything on the Ark is good right now and the weather should be great by the weekend.
