Clear Creek Clean Up 7/28

Clear Creek River clean up (1st annual...hopefully)
A little trash clean up on our local run Thursday 7/28.

I've paddle past too much trash to mention, but that damn orange road barrel on Lower CC finally got me (floated past it for the entire 3 years I've been here). High water has taken a bunch of the trash, but there's still a bunch more.

Thursday afternoon from 3pm-Dark I'll have trash bags at the Lower CC dam. Come by, grab a trash bag, run whatever you want (Lower, BR, Tunnel 1 down). Come back with a bunch of river trash and I'll deal with it from there. I'm gonna' have a bunch of beer...depending on how many people show I may have enough to go around, but if I don't, probably wouldn't hurt to bring some extras...never can have too much beer. Reply here if you're gonna' make it.

Come, celebrate the end to an epic run off season, pick up some trash, do some paddling, drink some beer...what else do you have to do on a Thursday?

Good thought! Sad to see the water go this year, but it's always good to get rid of the garbage. Thanks for taking some initiative!

Thanks for putting this together stubby. i agree their is a lot of trash in Clear Creek. I pulled 4 t-grip paddles out of the black rock section alone today. I will bring my shredder should be able to haul out a big load of garbage on that.

Buckman river, when are you planning on showin' up? We've got an early 3pm crew, then I'm not sure about after, but I think a 530 crew heading out too.

We should sell all the raft paddles we find on craigslist and use the proceeds for some kind of Baileyfest beer fund.

I feel like a total ass - I was thinking this was on a different day! I was there tonight but didn't realize... I'm so sorry. I did manage to get a blue solo cup out of the water... If you get another one together, I'll try to be more aware and partake in it. Awesome initiative. I hope you got a good turn out.
