I have an old Paddler magazine that lists America's "Class III Classics" as:

Clackamas River, Oregon

Nantahala Gorge, North Carolina

Kennebec River, Maine

South Fork/Main Payette, Idaho

Lower Skykomish, Washington

South Fork of the American, California

Lower Yough, Pennsylvania

Deerfield River, Massachusetts

Browns Canyon of the Arkansas, Colorado

Chattooga section III, Georgia

I am also a big fan of the Taylor River Canyon and Steven's down on the Poudre for quality Colorado class III.

Don't shut him down he could be a charger, and be able to get down continuous Class III with no issue. With in my first year I was running harder Class IV's, and ran some easier Class V's just after my one year mark. Unless you know him don't be so quick to judge. There is a super fun continuous Class III in Utah called the Ogden Narrows as usual higher water means higher skill level needed.

Judging by his wish to "dominate" all those runs, I figured his post was sarcastic, and responded in kind!

I have no hatred for III's nor dismissal for anyone else who loves to run them. My favorite run, the MF Flathead is a III-, but far from continuous. The rio isn't a place for me to compete. It seems like using words like "dominate" more often result in the rio dominating my ass instead of the other way around.

So do you guys do this out on flathead lake then? I supose I could shred just about anywhere so long as I can get my paddle wet, and maybe after the run we could relax and pop some silver bullets
