Cheet Sheet for Browns Canyon

I am going to run Browns Canyon this weekend for the first time...

anyone willing to give me the skinny on the run?
what moves to make as I go down...etc...

is it a lot tougher to run at these low flows??

any input will be GREATLY appreciated
thanks in advance,

Matty

There's a lot of rocks out right now, but it's still a great run.

Pretty straight forward read and run at this level, the river is moving pretty slow so you'll have plenty of time but might find some tight spots with a row frame. Zoom Flume might be worth a look to be sure you miss the rock, when the river dog legs left and you see a big beach on the left side pull over and scout from the tracks. If you run Stone Bridge scout Sidels (sp?), it’s the first rapid after the obvious boat ramp. You can’t miss either. It's Class III, not even III+ at this level, no detailed cheat sheet needed.

Gotta love the similar threads located at the bottom. Some move descriptions in this thread, older and higher flow but don't think that much has changed. Disclaimer I do not raft:

Ran it last weekend, and there deftinately are some places you have to squeeze through with an oar frame. Definately worth a scout of both Zoom and Sidels. Lots of rocks though, so you will have a work out in store for you... Have fun though!!

I ran it last weekend, tight but fun. Just read and run...stay left on Zoom and you're cool.
