chao to the 7 tazas

since the earthquake all of the water has left the 7 teacups and has drained through and under the volcanic rock. it reappears at the salto de novios down stream. i dont know if the 22 still holds water but it sounds like it's draining from the laguana at top. this is common in Chile, that lakes disappear and are created. the 7 teacups have 0 water.

Man, this is terrible news.

I got to run the teacups some years ago.

The picture of me on the first drop is one of my favorite images.

Back in the day it was also known as the Perception Falls as they used a image of a Perception kayak going down the drop.

Sad that this very unique run has gone away.

my Spanish is not great, but I read another article in which I think it said that the water drains out downstream of the parque ingles, which would mean the 22 still has water. There was also a scientist who said the fissure would likely be filled in with sediment in a future high water event, and that the river would flow again.
