The short version: Cheryl at SOTAR is battling cancer and her medical bills are mounting. This online auction is for Cheryl's benefit.
How the Auction Works
Go to Charity Auctions Today –
You must register to bid on an item. You do not need to register to view an item.
To register, click on “SignUp Here” and create your auction account. Including your email address will allow the auction site to notify you if someone places a higher bid on an item you have already bid on.
How to View and Bid on Items
All auction items are listed in the center of the page. To search an item by category, see the Categories column on the left side. The Categories have all items listed in their respective areas (example: adventures, apparel, etc.).
Take your time, see what’s there, then make a bid!
How the Bidding Closes
Due to the number of items being auctioned, the items are grouped into four sets, each with a predetermined date for bidding to close. (See below.) As you view the items and place your bids, the amount of time left to bid on each item will display to the right of the item photo.
Bidding Close Dates
The closing on the first set of items will be Monday, April 22, 2013.
Closing for the second set of items will be Wednesday, April 24, 2013.
Closing for the third set of items will be Friday, April 26, 2013.
Closing for the last set of items will be Tuesday, April 30, 2013.
Closing on all dates will be at 8 p.m. (Pacific Time). Again, the amount of time left to bid on an item will be shown for each item.
If You Are the Winning Bidder
If you are a winning bidder on an item, you will receive an email indicating you are the high bidder. Shortly afterwards, you will receive an email "Invoice" reflecting the successful bid(s), the amount due and payment instructions. You will have two choices of payment: PayPal or cashier’s check/money order.
As soon as payment is received and confirmed, we will contact you about where you want your item(s) shipped. For some items, the vendor will ship to you directly; you will receive an e-mail from us to them, providing your shipping information. For other items, the product is on site; we will ship to you. Delivery times vary by size of item, distance and shipping method. Once you have provided your shipping information, please allow 5 – 10 days for delivery.
Note: If you are the winner of a product which is being made for you (such as the Sotar boats), you will receive information to contact the manufacturer to customize your product and finalize your order. For custom items, delivery will happen when the product is ready!
