Ccark gauge screwed??

A few of us got on ccark last Sunday evening. General consensus (except Patrick) was that it felt like 275cfs, however the online gauge only showed around 200.

Any chance the gauge is off for some reason, maybe from the flood a few weeks ago?

hey drew, i paddled CCOTA this morning and it felt like the 150- 175 that the gauge showed. i'd say this is near the bottom of funnable flows. i'll also add that the 3rd gorge is jacked up. lots of wood stacked high and river wide. i wouldn't paddle the 3rd over 200 until some serious work gets done.

I have been thinking about this, and JV had that post up that he had paddled it at 230 cfs a few days before we cleaned it and that it goes but was low, indicating he thought the gauge was right also. At least now I am believing it wasn't just me being off when I thought it was around 200. If it should come up again by chance I'd be down for some laps Drew.

Also, Dan, I'd say 150 is only fun for taking people who are new to creeking down or if you are doing an early season wood cleaning run.

Thanks fellas, probably felt bigger 'cause I haven't been creekin' as much as last year. Hope it comes up again this season...
