can we go run SBC?

so i see that SBC run has 300+ cfs right now, but the flow in Eldo is only 16 cfs, is the dam really stealing all of that? is it possible to paddle this section right now? would you have to walk after the dam or what, how far is it? any beta on the run would be appreciated

3hun is good to go...

But that walk out would be a bit substantial. And the dam would not be runable either.

BUT, that upper stuff is very fun.

We just did it today.

Walk out from the dam - I would guess it is about 2 miles mostly downhill. I think the Waterton walk out is a little more painful.

Would I do it again? yes, but not tomorrow.

Have run LSB many times before but have never walked out from the dam. Where do you park- still at the usual place at top of Eldo State Park or is there another road/parking area?

We discretely parked at the usual place.

The hike out is on BLM & private land.

There are 2 locked gates that you will have to go around or over.
