BV/Salida Park?

Its a 2.5 hour drive. At these levels is it worth it to come and hit up the waves?

If it were just a 2.5 hour drive to Salida for me, I would be there every weekend the Rio was not iced in.

Load up the creek boat and start driving!

Its low. The bottom feature in BV is definitly surfable but you'll probably just spin yourself silly. Gore's still rockin and rollin

This is my first year, but I have a good combat roll. Whats Gore like? I am comfortable with class 3 for sure and would like to try some class 4

Gore is class V FUN. If you are a class III boater and want to try upping your game go for the royal gorge at these levels it is still fun.

There is good boating upstream of BV still. I have done 3 solo trips on the lower Numbers/upper Fractions this week and Pine Creek/Triple Drop/Numbers still go as well. Mostly III+, but there are a handful of IV- moves and a couple solid IV's (not counting PC which is solid IV/IV+ sustained for about 3/4 mile).

Staircase wave in the playpark is still fun too.
