BV Hits the Big Time
A pal sent me this from CNN
Buena Vista made CNN, yeah ...BV
http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/09/20/south.main/index.html
South Main is a city concept created by the Selbys. Its on the edge of Buena Vista, Colorado, and will be a mixed-use development of homes and business space for all walks of life.
In addition to planning homes and businesses, they've also teamed up with the City of Buena Vista to create the world's largest white-water park. It is scheduled to be completed in the fall.
And they are selling.
"Within six weeks, they sold 90 percent of the lots in Phase 1 of the community. What they initially thought would take a year or two to sell ended up taking only a-month-and-a-half."
I know some of you will flip. But heck, worse things could happen in Chaffee County! I wish them well.

Wow, must be nice. I'm sure a place like that is affordable to all income levels.

Hmmm....maybe I should stop trying to put people in jail for illegally dumping toxic waste in our state...including the Ark. River. What a lowly way to make a living. Do you think people would want to buy your "developed" land if the Ark was a cesspool? I think not a$$hole.

Yeah, that was a bad generalization for him to have made. I think he was thinking more along the lines of sleezy defense attornies and the ambulance chasing dog-bite specialists. At any rate, I think I'd rank anyone having anything to do with insurance below esq.

I don't know, guys... to anyone in public health (or anyone remotely involved with OB/ gyn or women's medicine), the abbreviation "BV" is synonymous with one thing: bacterial vaginosis.....
Tele, that should at least make you feel a little better, no??

Nube, frequent trips to the free clinic don't make you involved with "public health." tehe.

Hmmmm. No way this could be representative of why lawyers get this rep?
The Selby project is imo going to be good for this area in many ways too many to list. Also from what I have seen the Selbys are stand up people no need to name call over a edited news clip.

I really would like to know what one of these pieces cost. Could someone spare me the time and let me know how much for one of these? Is it gonna be a bunch a rich, hip trustafari types from Summit/Boulder or a lotta the "professional" types from Summit/Boulder relocating in their RangeRovers to this place. Is the price comparable, average, above average to other options in that area??

This food chain sounds interesting. Developers eating attorneys.
Everyone hates attorneys until they need one, give it time.
