BV Camping/Snow Report?

Thinking of camping in Four Mile this weekend and was wondering if there's still a bunch of snow in there (thinking of bringing my bike and boat). Anyone with a recent visual?

Almost no snow in Four Mile. Warm temps and good water this weekend. Bring the bike and the boat.

Indeed. East side of the valley is melted out. I wouldn't plan on riding the CT, but Broken Boyfriend, Midland, Fourmile and the three new trails, Django, Fistfull of Dollars and a Few More Dollars are all dry and good to go.

Thanks.

Where the "Spaghetti Western" area was. One starts behind the KOA and goes up past the Collegiate Peaks Overlook to the railroad grade near the Midland trailhead. Another trail spurs off of this...and the other is a re-route of Big Sandy Wash. It starts across the road from the CP Overlook and ends at the very beginning of the Midland trail. They are excellent trails that provide some cool new loop options.

So the area east of the Ark within Browns Canyon WSA is all melted out? Was thinking of backpacking in there this weekend with my boys. Sounds like the conditions are good - cool nights but no heavy snow?

Yes, BC WSA is melted out. However, I don't think you can access the area from Aspen Ridge yet. Normally the gate on 181 is opened on 4/15, but I drove up on the 16th and there were still drifts blocking the road and the gate wasn't opened. That was before the last big melt cycle though... Access is clear and open from Turret to the Railroad/Stafford Gulch area, as well as the lower access around Ruby.
