Browns in September?

Looking for info on a fall run down Browns, or any of the other sections there on the mighty Ark. I've heard the fishing is awesome, but how low can it be run at - in hardshells without too much difficulty?

Thanks in advance!

I ran it last fall somewhere between 300 and 350cfs. As long as you put in at ruby you wont scrape much. The numbers and pine creek are a better option at this flow.

I'll second the Pine-creek/Numbers combo as a better option.....I paddled from the dam at the clear creek fisherman's access down to RR Bridge 2 days ago and albeit low and boney in places it is definitely worth doing if you're not going to gore or something with mo' water.......

I was part of a group that ran Brown's last fall around 350cfs. Most of the guys rowed small catarafts (12ft), I rowed a 14 foot cataraft. We did fine, it was tight and technical in a couple places but worth it. The fishing is great at this water level. If you're serious about the fishing, have a raft, and a buddy that can row I would suggest taking turns on the oars while the other guy casts a dry/dropper rig. We are gonna do this trip again in October.

I have a number at my house (sorry no internet at home), I only have internet at my work. I'll post the number for you tomorrow. The shuttle service we used this summer is out of Salida, sorry don't remember the name.

forgot snags

I ran my 14 ft cat down Brown's last fall at 350. It was tight and with some minor scrapeing and bumping we made it.

shuttle

we actually fished Big Bend to Rincon this summer ($50). I'm not sure what this company charges for Brown's. Our shuttle on Brown's last fall was $50 but someone different ran our jeep. I'll get that # for you tonight.
