We are looking to move back out west and we thought we had in narrowed down to Colorado either evergreen or Frisco due to hospital location. But the wife's parents live in Seattle and were looking into Vancouver. How is the rafting Close to Vancouver (1-3 hours away) Day trips and overnights. I know it's going to be slightly colder but how is the weather, rivers locations all in all just over all living. Any info would be great thanks all

Vancouver and area is a paddling meca. I suggest you check out the Vancouver forum for river info in the immediate area
Vancouver Kayak Club Forum - Index

or if you don't mind about a 1-2 hour drive this will give you river info for rivers in the surrounding area
Fraser Valley Whitewater

If you haven't heard about the Thompson, it is not a long drive from Vancouver and a really suitable class 3+ to 4 BIG water river popular for rafters. Watch the Rick Mercer video on this site. It's funny.
Kumsheen | Raft. Relax. Recharge. | BC's Best Rafting Destination

or you can google videos on you tube for the Thompson

Great thanks will check out all those rivers. How is the weather. Summer is it rainy or is it overcast. And in the winter does it snow or mostly stay compared to Seattle?

People paddle all year round in the Vancouver area. It doesn't snow often (except in the mountains) but it does rain a lot in the winter. Summers are nice but not overly hot.
