Boat too big?

I am about to buy my first boat and I have been looking at the Liquidlogic CR250. I am 6' and about 175 lbs. The weight range is 180-250 for this boat, so I'm a little under the weight range. Do you think this would be ok, or should I find another boat?

I would definitely demo it and a size smaller before you buy.

CR 250 is a pretty big boat

I'm 5'11" 185 and fit great in the 125

I'm 6'2" and usually between 165 and 180, depending on the season. I seem to usually hold pretty steady in the 70s, and found the cr125 to be much better than the 250. At least in the boats from a few years ago. If you're worried about leg room, don't be. I had too much, with a 40 inch inseam, and had to build up a bulkhead. But, demo them both and see which one you like better.

Find another boat. My friend bought a boat that was too big for him for his first boat and struggled with it for months. Couldn't roll it, couldn't keep it upright either. As soon as he down sized he became a much better boater. Try to be right in the middle of the weight range of the boat, and demo them, it's cheaper than buying the wrong boat.
