Big Thompson this fall--nothing big

Hi all,
I've had several inquiries about flows in the Big Thompson this fall. It looks like unless there is some sort of major rain event, we will not see flows much above 100 cfs this fall.

Currently, flows are around 70 cfs. They might fluctuate up and down under the 100-120 cfs rate, but I do not anticipate anything really boatable again until spring run-off.

But, if something unexpected does happen, you all will be the first I let know!

Have a good weekend,
Kara

.....ooooooh, that hurts. Is there anyway we can get a scheduled release for once a week.... like 300 cfs on Saturday for 5 hours instead of the steady 100 cfs for 7 days???

Sorry, Arn, no-can-do. In fact, our operational requirements have us dropping down to around 40 cfs in October and then to around 30 cfs in November. That's pretty standard stuff and what we usually do each year. The past two years have just been atypical, but we're back to business-as-usual, now.

P.S. Don't know why I got the yellow underlined emphasis in my first message. It wasn't intentional, just some sort of user error, I suspect.

Thanks for the update Kara. Bummer.

One of these years I hope we can negotiate some scheduled releases.
