Beta on Elephant Rock on the Poudre???

Thinking about doing a run on the Poudre called Elephant Rock. Anybody done it before?

Isn't Elephant Rock on last week's big bike ride? Then there's frog rock with no bike ride.

Sleeping Elephant it is. Been a while, but here's what I remember. The run is mostly class II with some wood strainers scattered about. Mandatory portage around the fish hatchery (unless they fixed things since). Putin at the Tunnel picnic area (Spencer Heights takout) for added class III-IV spice. It's in the upper canyon, which offers a much different feel than lower down, and is seldom run. Very pretty and colder water. It's worth doing if you live close and haven't already done it. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day, there are some beautiful meadows along the run to hang out and chill. Hope this helps.
