Best Shoulder Docs in the Boulder /Denver Area.....Need help please!

Had surgery 10 years ago (Bankart repair), now the shoulder is acting up again. Subluxed in Blackrock last night. My previous doc is too far away now, so I'm looking for options preferably in the Boulder area as I live in Westminster. Would be fine with traveling to Denver too if need be. I'm looking for a specialist who understands the demands that kayaking puts on your shoulder, and someone who will be aggressive in treatment. Thanks for the help.

Steadman Clinic in Vail. Dr. Hackett and company. They are the very best! Also do a thread search as there is a lot on this topic.

mike, sorry to see you get injured last night. kent was gonna wait for you, but we pulled him into the group & got him down in fine shape as I wasn't sure if anyone else was above us.

I had my left shoulder repaired due to a bike/car/pavement collision in august. 75% glenoid labrium tear (SLAP is what they refer to it as). I went to Cornerstone Ortho in Louisville based on a friend's rec, they took forever/dicked around on diagnosing the issue, even though I knew there was damage needing repair.

Based on my PT, Jeremy Rodgers at Colorado Sports Chiro in Louisville (he is a paddler as well), I went to see Dr Reid at Orthopedic Professional Association, about 2 doors down from Cornerstone. I went in, told everyone I was walking out with a surgery date ASAP, & sure enough that is what I got & Dr Reid was great, no BSing around, done deal. Had surgery 2 days before Turkey Day.

I had my right repaired 16yrs ago (same issue & same repair type) & had pain & some weakness for 2-4 yrs afterwards. This shoulder just fixed, no pain, no weakness, couldn't tell I ever had surgery other than it's probably in better shape now than prior.

I'd highly recommend these two Dr Rogers (PT) & Dr Reid for Surgery. Also if you can get the GameReady... speeds up healing time. Best of luck!

Dr Rogers .. three oh three 604 - 4358
Dr Reid .... three oh three 665 - 0286

~Get all the sleep I need when I'm dead.
