Bear Creek Status?

Anyone clean out any of the wood from the 2013 floods on bear creek? Haven't been back there since sept 2013.

Was just looking at the potential upslope storm we could have moving through this week. Its a long shot, but that set up is what typically gets bear creek running (if it does run).

I recall major tree at the no scout falls, tree with multiple branches blocking the dam, and a river wide tree in the boogie before the take out.

Sounds like some nasty hazards. I am willing to work on a clean up job but am unfamiliar with the run.

boated it last year and it was an absolute mess. we walked out before the "willow section". full on trees across the creek in many places, the lead in to no fun changed alot. it will take a crew probably a few years to clean it out. and with the homes around the creek i dont know how it will go with access. just a thought.

That sounds a lot worse than after the floods. There were just 2 pieces of wood that were an issue that fall. The one at the hobbit hole (which had a decent sneak around) and the one just above Lair of the Bear. The latter could be easily taken care of and I think the former you just deal with because of the gun-toting landowner there. Where are the others now? I think the chances of it running this year are super low anyway, but never hurts to clean it up for next time.

Well, it looks like they made park and huck at No Fun Falls more challenging. There are No Parking and No Trespassing signs all over the place. I wonder who owns the land there.
