Bear Creek Cleaning Crew

Yo Buzzards! I need some help. Planning on getting out to bear creek on friday during the day to clean out some new wood. We got it down to just one portage before the latest high water and there is new wood up top that needs to go.

I got all the gear, just need a couple more pairs of hands who can spare some time friday.

Bear creek is flowing great right now, and we haven't even put a dent in the Mt. Evans snowpack. Its going to be a great bear season and we need to clean it to enjoy it.

Thinking about getting out there at noonish on friday or perhaps earlier if folks can get there earlier.

Ian

Just got a report that the couple of logs that needed out are gone. Not sure how or where. Sounds like she is in.

I'm in for an afternoon run tomorrow if you can still get out.

So is the entire run portage-free, other than the dam? No need to paddle with a chain saw in the boat??

As of this morning (5/14) the only portage was the dam. Flow was 350 and falling.

Scotto, I'm heading to bear at noon tomorrow. Shooting for a couple laps and removal of the overhanging branch at swimfest ledge holes.

Sure would be nice if some eager beavers got the dam back in shape.
