Barrel springs and south canyon wave

I am heading over that way this weekend and want to run barrel.. I have not run it before but feel comfotable in class five.. Just what to know what to expect..

And what level does the south canyon wave start to come in at, and what kind of feature is it (like what kind of tricks can you throw off of it?

Barrel is probably more of a class 4+ run right now. You will put in on Lower Death, at the dam right below a manky section. It is runnable, if your up to it. Barrel itself is pretty mellow, you can scout it all on river right on the bike path. All the moves are very visible...

South comes in at like 2800-3400ish, depends on the hull speed of your boat i guess. You can spin, blunt, pan-am, helix, donkey flip, whateva you want, its just not super retentive..

thanks for the info.. I am thinking about heading over there saturday night run it sunday.. then head up to cross for monday and tuesday..

ill be up there on sat to play at shoshone if you would like to join us, ill also be scouting barrell but not running it yet, if you want to boat it ill provide a saftey line. ill be there sometime after 1pm.

Thanks for the offer guys..but I have to work this weekend. I am heading over to run cross mt on monday and tuesday if anyone wants to join, but I will be at barrel next weekend
