"Hi Dan Im glad you e-mailed me; there will be some good flows on tap for the weekend.
First, to answer your question, the Roberts Tunnel number is measured at the tunnel. The Grant gage is a little downstream of the tunnel, and will include any other flow in the North Fork. So far there has not been much additional flow at the Grant gage.
The snowpack has not begun melting yet, and we are having record heat in town. Our water demand is very high, with everyone trying to green-up their lawns. Until the snow starts melting, I will need to crank Roberts Tunnel. Tomorrow I plan to increase the flow to 250 cfs, and probably keep it there over the weekend. Once the snow starts to melt, I will take advantage of the South Platte water, and reduce the diversions from the West Slope. So, for the time being we should have some good flows on the N. Fork."
