I have an extra copy of Scott Lindgren's movie "Black Book" which is a movie about Steve Fisher's life. This is a cool movie that shows the evolution of kayaking as play boats moved onto the scene back in the 90s. I bought the movie because I began paddling in the early 90s and remember when the new boats were designed. Back then, new tricks were invented each time we paddled the river. I can recall surfing at Hell Hole on the Ocoee when Corran Addison showed up in his Savage Fury and began throwing the first cartwheels I've ever seen. Back then, nobody had multiple boats for different types of rivers. You had one boat that you ran everything in. It made some of my first runs down the Green Narrows in NC memorable as I followed Daniel DeLavergne down the river while he was throwing freewheels off of every waterfall in his 007.
This movie will get you fired up to take your playboat down some of the bigger volume class V runs that you normally stomp in your creeker and have you shredding up every last wave, rock splat and waterfall in new ways that will change your river running experience. This movie shows some of the biggest whitewater in the world including the Zambezie and the Tsangpo Gorge!
I am auctioning off the new movie, still in the wrapper and will end the auction by 4:20 on Wednesday April 23rd. Beer/alcohol is cool and I'll offer the first bidder the movie for 1 beer, let's say Fat Tire. I just want to spread the word on this great movie and am not trying to get rich.
I work in Golden and live in Wash Park so I can meet the highest bidder with the movie somewhere between the two. Good luck!
