ATTN: Paonia Dam is running.

Yes, for those of you with a spice for life, a healthy tolerance of pain, and probably a chemical imbalance, the spillway at Paonia Dam has been running the past few days. Join fellow paddlers like Sam Drevo and.....and.....okay, well, join Sam Drevo on the list of illustrious paddlers to slide down this concrete chute of death. Prepare for high speed, possible airtime, gnarly road rash, and general fame and fortune as you hurtle 199' vertical feet and a couple of hundred lateral yards at near Mach 5. But hurry, it's not likely to last long....

PS, I tried to find the video of Sam running it back in the day but apparently the interwebs doesn't want that video floating around, so just imagine a kayaker going very fast down this photo. Here is also the ever classic spillway from Wales video to give you a taste of what you are in for should you decide to accept.
