Sen. Wayne Allard, and U.S. Rep. John Salazer interceded with the railroad, asking them to accommodate the ww park. The railroad listed 5 requirements that palisade had to agree to. I'm not sure on all 5, but including safety fence, warning signs, liability, that kind of thing. Construction should begin in Aug, or Sept. The park is set to open around March 2006.
The power of democracy. I always have the numbers of all my reps in Washington at the ready. A week after the first article on the park. my calls to washington were the first Either senator Allard or Congreesman Salazar had heard of the issue. it takes 2 min to call. Always be polite and respectful tho. After at least 10 calls to Allards office to complain his positions. When I wanted help I wasa sure glad I had slways been civil with the staff. Of course when I call Tancredo it's a little more fun. peace sj
