April 9 Royal Gorge

Hey guys --

Last weekend in RG was lots of fun, and the weather looks stellar for Sunday.
The Ark is way low, but that's good for Royal Gorge -- it's really fun at this flow, and good all the way down to 300 (It was fun at 269).

I'm gonna go hit it again this Sunday, April 9. Anybody wanna join?

Update --

A friend of mine has a time constraint, so we're doing it early.
We're planning to be at the Tunnel Drive takeout at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, launching from the Parkdale ahra site by 10:30.
Qualified company is welcome.

Hey Mike,

Are the flows supposed to come back up again over the weekend, or is it supposed to stay around 375?

Hey Brian --

I hear it's supposed to be low for a while -- I think they're working on the BV project, so no releases for some time. Strictly runoff.
I wouldn't be surpised to see the Gorge all the way down to 300 by Sunday afternoon. No tears here - I like it at 300.

Mike,

Thanks for the update. Think I am going to stay up north this weekend. Keep me posted on any other trips you are thinking about.

Enjoy!

i'll be in canon for the weekend and would be game for a gorge run. call if you want to confirm or if your plans change, otherwise i'll be at tunnel drive at 9:45am. car has room for 5 (total) so feel free to drive only one rig down from springs if you can fit.

Right on, Brian #2. See you at Tunnel Drive.
(I'm offline for the rest of the weekend)
