Any Play on the Ark???

Was wondering at these low flows if anything was worth hitting on the Ark for playboating. Like the play parks or any of the runs?

Thanks,
Daniel

Happy Halloween

the park in salida looks shallow & cold. you might be able to spin.

i'll bet the royal gorge is runnable. and browns pretty much always goes. there's probably an eddyline to play somewhere, or rocks to splat.

desperation boating.

playboating is over. I am still paddling a couple of times a week but always in the DR boat or slalom workouts in Salida. You can bang down any of the runs on the Ark, Gorge is the most popular this time of year.

Pinnacle to Parkdale is still runnable; done it the past 2 weekends. Call the headwaters of the Ark, and they can give you a close estimate of the flows based off of another gauge that is still on: 719-539-7289

The guys and gals down at CKS have also told me that they've been running Pine Creek and the Numbers.

Like what some of the other people have already said, The Royal Gorge and Browns are still a go.

Alex, you make it too hard. You can just look at the Wellsville gauge, and expect at most another 50 cfs to it for Parkdale/Gorge flows. Seems to be a roughly accurate measurement from my personal experience.

And yes, Pine Creek/Numbers are still boatable, but it's scrapey. I remember doing it this time last year though.
