Another Poudre question

Force--Thanks for the reply and advice. How about putting in around Bellvue and floating to Lyons Park? Any other ideas? We are looking for slower moving water with minimal portage to take a drift boat and try to do some flyfishing as well. Thanks.

I don't think there are any portages. There is private land on both banks most the way, so you need to stay in your boat. You can try from coy boat ramp past college ave to prospect, which is portage free.

I don't fish downstream of Shields in town. The fish disappear after about there. I don't recall any opportunities to launch up near Bellevue; plus there might be some pretty low clearances under a couple of bridges between bellevue and overland.
