Alto-Alto Beta

I am looking at running Alto-Alto and wanted some beta. Are there rapids that need scouted, or can it be done read + run? How long should the run take? Any specific hazards?

You might want to do a search on this because it's been discussed before, but for the most part it is all read and run. Depending on the flow, there is a river wide hole right at the put-in that can get sticky. About 3/4 mile in where the tunnel is starts the main rapid that you might want to look at although there really aren't any severe consequences of going one way or the other if you have a solid roll. Toward the end of the run, right after a bridge, there is another river-wide hole, but at these flows can be punched easily on the left side. Hope that helps. -Dave
