Alkali Creek?

So on my drive up to Glenwood I saw a little creek falling into the Eagle about a half mile west of Exit 157(?) the one for steamboat and Wollcot or what ever.

If this is the creek, the book says it never runs so you might want to get in there cause it looked runnable for sure.

Yeah it's a creek. If the pipe is half full at the put in, it's good. 5- run for 1/2 mile

Here some information about it, here. A crew got on it last weekend for the Vertical Challenge.

Yeah, this creek usually never runs but for a day or three each year, and even then it's very bony.

This year, it's been going for a few weeks now and at a fairly padded level. I drove up to the put-in last night and the culvert is still juicing (relatively speaking of course).

Pic of flow from last night attached.

Sounds interesting. Gotta say that the pic of the pipe with water flowing out is about the least tempting pic for a creek I have seen! Ha ha. Congrats for getting on it! Sounds fun.

Yes, that's the put in. It's flat twisting and turning for a few and you're like WTF? Then it starts to drop off the mtn side. It has 7/8 waterfalls up to around 15ft and some gnarly water. It's fun though. Also, the pipe half full I would say is Min and if it's full be on your toes.
