Advice for sprayskirt problems?

I have a Super EZ and a Wildwasser Hipster sprayskirt with a super keyhole. The skirt isn't even a year old and it ripped when I pulled it around my cockpit. I took it to Prijon and they said all they could do is patch it. Since it was patched, the left side of the skirt (around where the rip was) keeps popping off every time i enter a hole. Any suggestions for fixing this problem or possibly getting a cheap replacement?

ghetto or no ghetto?...

I guess it depends on how ghetto you want to go. I know that taking an old bike inner tube and layering it around the cockpit rim can add some extra grip plus keep you a little drier (in the case of my leaky Kingpin). But that is pretty ghetto. If you don't think that is your cup of tea, pick up a new one. Last time I checked NRS had new but belmished Rawhide skirts for $60 or something, and I am betting you can find a used Snapdragon for under $50. hope that helps a little bit. peace.

Thanks for the advice, but I took it by Wildwasser this morning and they upgraded it to a brand new kevlar skirt for $30. Apparently the problem is that the sides of the Super EZ are too straight and the skirt wants to pop off around that area. However, they said the front of the cockpit has too much tension. Has anyone had any problems with this and if so, do you have a solution?

The bike inner tube is a good idea. I did the same basic thing, gluing 1/8" minicell foam around the outside of my cockpit combing to fix the leakyness in my super ego. It had the added benefit of helping the rand stay uber secure on my boat.
