Stacie,

Gore is running at 3690 right now which is unbelievably burly. Heat is not letting off and it is supposed to be hottest this friday making the run possible in the 3K range, perhaps as high as now if there is four more days of snow available to sustain this bump.

Noticed that rafters tend to like the 650 to about 1100cfs range, it helps making the moves a lot more doable. Have run it about 40 times now, with the highest being just below 2K, which started to get pushy. Therefore at easily 3-4 times the average flow, this would be an unusual experience for all of us. Yeah, I have a lump in my throat.... whew. It still runs during the lowest portion of the season since Gore Canyon is dam controlled so it should be no problem if you decide for a more reasonable level in your rig later.

For your info, we'll be bringing at least 3 CreatureCraft and 3 people so far; Two two seaters (G2/G4 Hybrid, G4) and a four seater G3. We'll have two oreframes and at least four seats available for multiple setup options. Shane is taking his hybrid as an oreframe, I'll be R2-ing with Randy and someone (you or someone equally skilled) can take the G3 as an oreframe or R2 it with an addl person. I recommend oreframing it, since it yields the most control... my favorite way to do Gore actually. Conversely, your 14ft self bailer could be a blast in there! Plan is to camp fri night, start early morning, take our time during the run, scout often, stop to film and avoid 2pm winds if possible. Please join us.

The biggest footage I've seen is from Darren running it at 3K and actually gore rapid looks sooo much easier. He is in Peru this week (and actually a little bummed about missing gore) but said to watch out for the rocks as they are still sharper at the high levels since it doesn't run like that often. So no hitting rocks in the *really* fast and big water... yipes. I'll dig out some footage of gore rapid at 3K and post it later... most likely tomorrow.
