We currently have three positions open for experienced raft guides on the Cache La Poudre River. The Cache La Poudre River is the only national "Wild and Scenic" River in Colorado and is limited to only five commercial outfitters. Because there are only five outfitters the river is less crowded than other rivers in Colorado and the scenery is amazing. A Wanderlust Adventure is celebrating our 25th season of rafting on the Poudre River and we take rafting very serious on this continuous and technical river. We pride ourselves on our staff that return season after season and want only professional and serious candidates applying for a position with our company. We have an older and more mature staff of guides at our company that average 27 years old with up to 14 years experience guiding on the Poudre and other rivers. We offer half and full day, beginning to advanced trips only on the Poudre River. We offer a class III beginner/intermediate level half day trip and a class III/IV level intermediate/advanced half and full day trip.

The town of Fort Collins offers a great lifestyle to our staff and really is a neat place to live for the summer or year round. We have an excellent university at Colorado State and the culture and nightlife that goes along with it. The area has many hiking and mountain bike trails and Rocky Mountain National Park is only an hour away. The Poudre River offers world class kayaking up to Class V+ for seasoned veteran boaters.

Applicants must have completed a certified guide training program with 50 hours of recorded on river training. We also require at least two summers experience guiding on Class III/IV level technical whitewater and a minimum of 1000 miles logged . Current certification in CPR, First Aid and Swift Water Rescue is also required. Wilderness First Responder or EMT Certification preferred but not required. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, be professional and mature, a team player, hard working, reliable, respectful and highly concerned about safety.

Experienced guides at our company will make between $80 to $100 per day. Most of our experienced guides will make between $4,000 to $5,000 during the summer plus tips. First year, experienced guides must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work half days when needed.

Please call 970-484-1219 if you are interested in these positions or email your resume to awarafting@aol.com Thank you.
