I'm thinking about getting a new drytop and Pfd this season. I was considering getting both in Black. I mentioned it to a buddy and he mentioned that it would be hard to see a body in the river so brighter colors would be better. I like the idea that black would absorb more heat. I can roll if I'm hot. My current helmet is black as well and will probably be replaced next season. Thoughts?
Wear bright colors. I have the same trouble in that black is a slimming color for me, but I would rather look fat and be seen than look skinny and not.
Black on black on black? Fucking ninja. If you're cold put a warmer layer on or get a drysuit. Rivers are usually in canyons anyways where direct sun isn't the norm. Safe bet is bright colors.
Ok. Brighter colors is the way to go. Thanks for the feedback. I didn't really think about trying to get someone's attention. I was thinking more like Johnny Cash than Ninja.
