Hi I live in Santa Fe NM and in Denver for 10 years before that. I know how difficult the high altitude roads are for towing in CO as I used to have a Duramax and a 5th wheel toy hauler (no issues with that setup). Now I have 2012 Frontier CC 4x4 with the 4.0. I saw your post about your 7x14 v nose trailer (same trailer I'm in the market for) and since you live and drive at altitude I wanted to see how well your Frontier tows with your trailer on I70 from Denver to Grand Junction, or heading south on I25 toward NM, or any other experienced you had. I'm curious about gas mileage but mainly if you are pinned on long grades unable to go over 45mph at certain points. I'll probably have similar weight to you and your cars or maybe even less. I'll be carrying a couple dirt bikes and some camping gear. I understand the truck will downshift and rev to tow but I don't want to fell like I'm destroying my truck.

Thanks for your time and advice.

    Ron
