For average body weight, it needs to be supported at one foot intervals in one dimension (i.e. for a 2 x 4 ft. panel, one cross-support and one down the center). I've used wood framing, or aluminum angle, bar, channel, and tubing, and also 1" raft straps woven through the grid. Check out the Games with Frames thread from last year for more details. Since the panels are 2 ft. x 4 ft., most frames require either cutting the stuff or framing it up with wood or aluminum.

    Hey Chip,

I was looking at your post on frame building and was wondering about using Polymax as a floor for my raft. How much support would I have to add to make it strong enough to ast as a floor. I'm trying to keep things light. I wanted to use trex but to damn heavy. Any other ideas?
