Lodore is a pretty magical place. Nothing too challenging riverwise... which works for my somewhat limited skills... but the combination of desert/mtns/river/wildlife is nuttin' short of spectacular. Got a lot of bighorn pix outta that trip as well. Funny, the camera was locked away in the Pelican case for all the rapids. Guess I have to do it again to get some river pix!

Gates of Lodore. We were flying the (now defunct) air shuttle back from Vernal. I was shooting the flotilla lined up below us a the put-in when the pilot jabbed me in the ribs and pointed to what I was not photographing! The photo has a dry brush filter applied to it in Photoshop. Actually sold a few enlargements of that image...
