    Dangerous spot. I saw someone get pinned upside down in that exact location at a similar flow level. There is no way to get to someone in time to help them if they chock there.

    Tampax can be deceiving... WAY more water is going right than it looks. You have to focus to stay center if you are going for the center boof. A lot of people get sucked right and it is not a place to be.

    Be careful with Tampax.

    Good point, Ture. I've been pushed there twice at higher flows, once broaching and then running the left slot backwards, and once broaching upsidedown and swimming. The best safety is having someone on that big rock or just right of it, which means a boater will have to boat to the right side and set safety after running or portaging Tampax. Unfortunately, this is rarely done due to laziness or an assumption that everything will be fine.
