First lap on Eldo. All clean lines... well as clean as it can be on that savage CO mank.

Nice! Looks like a pretty stout level approaching the max descent of 240 by Hileke. Some seriously badass shit. I'm surprised, though, that there are no cheering, scantily clad women present.

Sweet! FYI, although 240 is high water in Eldo for sure, I've personally run everything except Harmon at a higher flow (somewhere in the 300's, more than once). I seriously doubt that the highest water descent on Harmon is 240... but I could be wrong.

    Impressive. Who is the paddler?

I could be wrong about 240 being the highest descent, but I made that statement based on info from two solid sources. I heard Forrest Noble say that Hileke had made the highest descent and then assumed it was 240 since that was the number said to be the max descent in the most excellent book, Whitewater of the Southern Rockies by the esteemed Stafford and McCutchen.

definitely been run at over 250cfs

Great shot! I've never run it but it looks a lot more cushy at higher water levels... I'm very surprised that someone would say 240cfs is the highest it's been run... 303cfs and rising right now. FIRE IT UP!!!
  7. smauk2
Ran it at 75 cfs... rocks

Jah not sure on the level... didnt even know it was really high haha but it was fun and big!! it was my first time down and my buddy had only been down once at low water and got a concussion or something. seems like it would be savage at low water
