Just noticed you notification. I have 30 years experience in Emergency and Critical Care nursing. I stand by my statement that any of the listed conditions can result from trauma and may lead to complete heart block. Most cardiac medications and interventional therapies are studied in dogs prior to humans due to the similarity of
the cardiac sytems of both species. I believe I strive to provide compassionate care
for my patients and intended nothing less in my post. Honest and frank discussions
of the differential diagnosis and relative prognosis are a difficult but important part
of coping with illness or injury regardless of the outcome. You obviously are a caring
person and I appreciate your feedback and concern but we just differ on this. W
ps I'm not leaving for the Grand with you next week am I?

Whip, no bad intentions here but you are not correct. I have consulted with a Board Certified Veterinary Cardiologist on this issue. You are neither Board Certified or a veterinarian. Her thoughts are very different than yours but you are spouting out to a person who is reaching out to someone who is the authority on these diseases in this species. And as if you have all the information surrounding the case. You may confuse the situation in this very stressful time for Morgan. Would you feel just as comfortable confusing the situation after a Human Board Certified Cardiologist had consulted a friend regarding his own heart......... on a kayak forum? Please be careful with how you present information you could actually hurt someone and in this case it could be Bomber.
