Still rarely ran I think. A group of us was there in 03' and is still one of the best trips we've had. Did anybody run the first 15' slide/falls drop with the shelf in the landing on the left? Thought I could miss the rock and nearly cracked my boat. All was good although I passed on that drop the second time around :)

Have you guys done the other one near there (5 mile hike in)? Never got to that one.

    Hey Chad,

Definetly rarely run, but a classic indeed. We hiked to a point about a 1/2 mile above this, but it included one portage... Started with a beautiful 4' to 4' to slide to far right line 8' combo up top. The section from the base of Popo Agie Falls to where we put in looked mostly unrunnable/not worth the effort, but I've heard parts of the falls are good to go. One portage below the falls pic, but other than that it all went.

Yeah we need to get back up there. That's some fun stuff. Obtain a copy of the best kayak movie ever produced... Wackyakin for footage.

ChadD .. refer to this: http://www.mountainbuzz.com/viewtopic.php?t=9737 for photo of PopoAgie Falls runnable drop. whether its the same or not i dunno. This was taken at real high water on the Popo a couple yrs ago. The rest of the run is roostin'/fun/scary at that level. At "normal" flows, the loc's hike up to this think & ass-slide it into the pool.
