SUP Fin Length Modification

I have a Hala Straight Up inflatable board with permanently attached 4" side fins. I would like to trim the fins to 2" and am wondering if anyone else has done this successfully. I am especially concerned about applying a bevel after the fin is trimmed. The fin is not hard plastic, but semi rigid.

I live in NC and paddle easy rivers that are very shallow.
