Well, to put your minds at ease, I just closed the deal with him for $7800. We was pretty firm at $8k, but with some very smooth negotiating on my part, I was able to get him down $200.

Look for a new ad: 2012 Aire 15.6R with DRE diamond plate double rail frame, drybox, engel cooler and all the gear for $17,685.

Mark at AAA denies ever quoting him at that price. And the plot thickens!

And why should I believe this "Mark" who works with inflatables professionally over this random dude who wants such a fair, lowball price for a 23 year old hypalon raft?

I can just imagine shaky handheld video of a couple of grizzled river rats, swilling warm PBR, while some pot-bellied seller in tattered jeans and a holy T-shirt pulls out a 1987 Maravia Santana with blown baffles and failing seam tape from a cluttered garage along with a rusted ammo can, 2 mismatched oars, and a PVC pipe frame. The key moment will be when the seller spits his chew out and proudly proclaims the boat's worth every penny of $6,500, then lowers his voice and says he'll throw in the box, oars, and frame, and let it all go for the low, low price of $4,995...

Now I just need to get that image out of my mind...

Ha good point, Re read the ad and it may help with that, Thanks to my three biggest critics, some great commentary out there...Hopefully the deal seems more reasonable now.

Great to see a price revision even though that must really hurt to "lose" 5500. I know it would be disheartening to me! But anyways, good on ya for seeing the light and taking your lumps so to speak.

Good luck with the sale and have a great grand trip. You deserve it after all this shit!

Yeah, I have sympathy for that sting. That would be a rough loss after a misunderstanding that spanned years.

To the OP of the ad....might behoove you to show photos of the other gear if you want it to sell fast. Best of luck and enjoy the GC.
